The tradition of placing Christmas gnomes in Polish homes is relatively new, yet it has already gained a large following. It turns out these gnomes came to us from Scandinavia, where until the 19th century they were the ones who gave out gifts. That’s not all: according to local beliefs, Christmas gnomes also brought good luck and protected the whole family and their belongings, especially at night. They were, in a sense, guardians of a good atmosphere and a sign of a successful holiday.
It’s good to have Christmas gnomes in your home also for their obvious aesthetic qualities. In our shop’s offer we have gnomes in a wide variety of color options so they can be easily integrated into any arrangement.
There are very simple and minimalist gnomes in all white or in red, green, or gray. Additionally, they may have a solid-colored hat and outfit or patterned ones, such as snowflakes, reindeer, or typical Norwegian motifs. Each piece is made from a pleasant, soft-to-the-touch material, and a wire is built into the hat so there’s no risk it will droop and lose its distinctive shape. Some gnomes hold a small broom, others a little bag of presents, while others hold snowballs, a Christmas tree, or a heart.
Christmas gnomes can be standing or sitting. It all depends on where you want to place them, how much space you have, and what you prefer. We offer gnomes ranging from 30 cm in height up to as much as 100 cm. Sitting models—depending on the design—have short legs that show only the feet, or longer legs that hang freely.
The situation is similar for standing gnomes, with two options to choose from. The first is a standing gnome with legs of the same length, while the second is additionally equipped with telescopic legs dressed in plain or colorful tights. Telescopic legs mean their height can be freely adjusted to suit your needs. In full display, they will certainly not go unnoticed.
Also noteworthy are the mini gnomes, measuring 16 cm in height, which make a great tree decoration and look beautiful alongside baubles and lights. They are equipped with a practical hanging loop, so they can be placed on a branch right away.
In our assortment we also have illuminated Christmas gnomes. A battery-powered LED light is placed in the gnome’s belly, lighting not only the gnome itself but also the space around it. This is an extraordinary decoration that’s hard to pass by indifferently. A lit gnome is perfect by the Christmas tree, on a windowsill, on the mantelpiece or by the stairs, as well as by the front door and outdoors.
