Concealed taps and their advantages

For several seasons now, concealed taps have not gone out of fashion in bathroom design. These eye-catching yet exceptionally discreet bathroom fittings have become a true adornment of private homes as well as bathrooms in offices and public buildings. It is hardly surprising, given their considerable advantages, which we outline in our article.

Concealed taps – a host of benefits and striking looks

One of the fundamental and most noticeable advantages of concealed taps is that all the less attractive parts of the tap, which by their nature are technical solutions, are hidden in the wall. This is thanks to the tiling or wall cladding behind which the most visually undesirable elements disappear. This makes it possible to achieve a beautiful visual effect, with an overall look that is not only neat but positively elegant.

These are not the only advantages. A major plus, especially in small bathrooms, is the space you can save by installing this type of tap. It is also much easier to keep clean compared with traditional taps.

Where concealed taps work best

As already mentioned, the ideal place for installing concealed taps is primarily compact bathrooms. Space saving plus a wealth of functions make the tap virtually indispensable. This does not mean, however, that they will not perform well in bathing rooms – quite the opposite. If the interiors are kept in a minimalist style, this solution is simply ideal here as well.

A full range of possibilities

Owing to the very wide range and great variety of concealed taps, it is possible to use them in many areas of the bathroom. The most common locations are above the bath, above the washbasin, and in the shower. Another important point is that this type of solution can be applied throughout the entire bathroom without exception, or fitted only in selected areas. The first option is, however, the most frequently chosen, in which concealed taps are installed at all items of sanitaryware.

Choosing the location is not the only possibility offered by concealed taps. This category of brassware provides extensive scope in terms of model variety. There are single-lever and two-handle models, showers with side body jets, as well as overhead showers. Each system allows for various combinations of elements, including from different sets, although as a rule it is recommended to combine elements belonging to the same set.
